This workshop focuses on teaching the most current CBT theory and applications in a structured format. The program will review theoretical foundations, conceptualize your clients’ problems and help you use CBT skills to develop effective interventions. You will learn skills that address trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as other problems that clients bring forward.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, participants will;

  • Understand current research on CBT;

  • Develop strong skills to understand clients’ problems within a CBT framework;

  • Understand which interventions are the most helpful;

  • Be able to effectively use cognitive interventions including: cognitive reframing, thought records and Identifying unhelpful cognitive patterns;

  • Be able to use behavioural interventions including: activity scheduling, problem solving and relaxation techniques.
